They have got bigger, and the runners have grown and make it look really big. The leaves they have got really big too. The runners have got a little leaf on the end. The runners are trying to reach the sun.

Bean Diary Part 4

Our beans have grown really tall, and our potting shed looks like a jungle. There are lots of leaves starting to grow on the top of the very long white stems, and maybe some of the beans are starting to grow. Nearly all of our beans have got 2 leaves now, but something is happening in the middle of them on the top of the plants. We think there is a bean growing in the middle.

Our beans are even bigger than shoots now. They have grown even more. It is bending and growing toward the sun. The bean is coming out a little. There is a leaf growing on the shoot, and it is getting bigger and bigger every day.

When we got to school today we got a surprise. There was a shoot, in three of our pots. A shoot was coming up out of the soil. Our beans are starting to come out of the soil. They are starting to grow What do you think might happen next?

We are learning all about what plants need to grow, and keeping a diary to see what happens to our seeds. This is our first diary page, come back soon and see what happens to our beans…

We saw some soil. It was all bumpy and lumpy. We cannot see our bean, It is still under the soil. We need to use water so it grows.

Our New School Assembly

Today we had a visit from James and Roger, they are builders. They told us about our new school. They brought some things in to show us, they brought some bricks because they are used for building, and we got to feel them. Some of us put on special jackets with stripes on them, because you can see them in the dark. They told us where our new school was going to be, and what it would be like in the school. Our toilets are going to have water in them, that comes from the roof, because rain will land there. We will have really big windows because it has loads of rooms and because the sun will come in.

Ladybird Beebots

Today ladybirds played with the beebots. We put them on the dance mats and put in some directions. We had fun playing with the beebots. We gave our beebots some names. Bud, Baby Blue, Buzz, Buddy, Bethany and Boo! We might change some of their names, because one of us likes the name Bella, one of us bossy boots, and one of us balloon…

Ladybird Class Went To Weston Super Mare

Last week we went to Weston. When we were there, we went into a museum. We saw some skulls, and we bought some things.

We went to Weston because it was food week. We had a special treat. We had Fish and Chips. We put loads of sauce on our chips, and they tasted very, very good. We went to the beach, and we had ice cream. Not everyone, we went off to build sandcastles, and make pictures in the sand. We had a great time writing our names in the sand. The best bit for us was making sand pictures, sometimes with our fingers and sometimes with our feet when we ran around.

Beebot Twinkles

We have been learning how to control Beebots. We learned how to make them go forwards, backwards and how to turn. We did it on a mat. We learnt how to keep the beebots on the mat. We had to remember to clear his memory. We enjoyed them very much.
